Privacy Policy

MomentumX ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information the MomentumX app uses, how it's used, and the choices you have.

The short version: your workouts, programs, nutrition logs, routes and body measurements are stored on your device. We don't run servers that collect them, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code.

Information the app uses

Location

• What: GPS location.
• Why: To map and measure your walks and runs.
• When: Only while you're tracking a walk or run, including in the background if you lock your phone during one.
• Where it goes: Routes are saved on your device. Location is not sent to us or anyone else.
• Your control: Turn location access off at any time in Settings → MomentumX.

Camera

• What: Camera access.
• Why: To scan food barcodes.
• When: Only while the barcode scanner is open. Images are not saved or transmitted — only the barcode number is read.
• Your control: Turn camera access off in Settings → MomentumX.

Calendar

MomentumX 3.0 and later do not use your calendar. Earlier versions asked for calendar access when you cleared a training program, to remove workout events from your calendar; they never read, copied, or uploaded it. You can revoke that access in Settings → MomentumX.

Notifications

• Why: To remind you to log a workout if you haven't trained on a scheduled day.
• Your control: Turn notifications off in Settings → MomentumX.

Information you enter

• Workout programs, logged sets, weights and reps
• Training maxes and one-rep-max calculations
• Meals, foods and nutrition goals
• Body weight and body measurements (optional)

All of this is stored only on your device.

Third-party services

To look up nutrition information, the app sends only the barcode number or the search text you type to these food databases. No name, account, location, or other personal information is included.

• Open Food Facts — barcode lookups
• USDA FoodData Central — food search, and barcode lookups Open Food Facts can't answer
• Nutritionix — barcode lookups, when enabled

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information.

Data deletion

Because your data lives on your device, deleting the app deletes all of it. You can also clear a program at any time from within the app.

Children's privacy

MomentumX is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, and port your data. Because the app keeps your data on your device rather than on our servers, you can exercise these rights directly in the app or by deleting it. Contact us with any request or question.

California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights regarding your personal information under the CCPA. We do not sell or share personal information.

International users

By using the app, you consent to the processing described in this policy. Food lookups may be processed by the services above in the United States or elsewhere.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
